Products Loading Example: Paper Industry

The risk of damages must also be excluded when loading and securing paper.  
Point-loading should be avoided under any circumstances. The loading surface should be level and clean.

An example showing the loading and securing of  goods to be loaded in a single row, with load bearing front walls and coils of almost similar diameters.  The use of anti-slipping mats and the clamping elements with large lever arm are absolutely advisable.  
For example: Sixty (!!) tie-down lashings are required for a loading weight of 24 tons, with an inertia force of 50% in vehicle cross direction, a friction of 20% as well as a vertically acting pre-tensioning force of 600daN per lashing element.

Instead, 10 tie-down lashings will be enough, when anti-slipping mats with a friction of 40% are placed beneath the goods to be loaded. In case, the vertically acting pre-tensioning force could be increased to 1000 daN, then thirty-six tie-down lashings are required, with a friction of 20%. Whereas six tie-down lashings will be sufficient with a friction of 40%.
