It is easy to use the PICKHAN lashing strap protector:

The forces applied by the lashing strap should not damage the loaded goods and vice versa the lashing straps should not be chafed by the rough edges of the loaded goods.  

In order to avoid both, lashing strap protectors should be used.
Lashing strap protectors by Pickhan will cause the securing forces of the lashing strap to be optimally transmitted via the surface and the so-called diverting factor is distinctly improved when lashing down while the force is evenly distributed.
