Loading example for sheet metal bundles.
The following example shows, how six double bundles can be loaded and secured.
An efficient loading process and easy loading and unloading often requires gaps between the bundles respectively the piles of bundles enabling the chaplet chain to be removed or attached. This means that only a friction locked safety device can be considered. At least four ANTI-SLIPPING MATS must be placed beneath each pile of bundles as the bundles must not touch the lorry floor!
Each bundle must be secured friction locked with at least two tie-down lashings, their efficiency guaranteed by sliding protection corners. The amount of tie-down lashings depends on the used lashing- and clamping means and corners as well as on the obtained pre-tension.
The bundles have been loaded in four lengthwise piles two of which in a double pile. Sliding protection corners (1) for an even pre-tension; ANTI-SLIPPING MATS (2); tie-down lashings (3), the exact amount needs to be established; vertical squared wood (4) or other similar auxiliary means to fill up the cross angle gaps.
